Cress Seed Experiment

Cress is a type of plant. Cress can grow on a paper towel as long as it gets water. After about three days the cress seeds will be at its full size. It needs SUN , WATER and that's about it.

These are the things you will need water, cress seeds, paper towels, and a small dish.

Rip up the paper in to 5 layers

and lay them on the dish.

Sprinkle some seeds on top of the paper towels.

Sprinkle the water onto the paper towels until it is completely soaked.

Place the dish next to your windowsill so that it can get sunlight.

Each day check on your seeds and water them. Everyday that you check on your seeds observe your seeds closely and you will see that something has changed.

This is what they will look like when they are finished growing.

As long as your seeds have water, air, and sunlight then they will grow. This process is called germination. These Cress seeds have turned into full grown sprouts and you can eat them, but I thought they taste like grass.

That's how you plant a little tiny seed without soil. I hope you enjoyed this experiment. Bye.
